The pandemic put a spotlight on the food insecurity crisis in Vermont. Over 56,000 people in Vermont are facing hunger, including 13,000 children. With the lingering pandemic, the housing crisis, and soaring inflation, Addison Food Shelf remains committed to providing healthy food to those in need.
With the support of generous doors and community partners, Addison Food Shelf has served over 600 households and purchased $13,000 worth of food in the last year. With your help, we will continue to increase food access to people in Addison County. In addition, your support will directly aid our efforts to expand food access through mobile outreach to community members in isolated areas.
