WE'RE PROTECTING THE KITCHEN TABLE...

Did you know that Addison County is the third-largest county in Vermont by total area? And if you don’t have access to a car, it probably seems even bigger. Indeed, ready access to transportation is beyond the reach of many of the people we see at Addison Community Action Food Shelf. So often they must wait for a friend or relative to be driving into Middlebury or catch an all-too-infrequent bus just to get their essentials.

We want to do something about it.

Addison Community Action Food Shelf has a bold vision: increase food access to more households in Addison County.

We’re joining with our sister food programs in Chittenden and Franklin/Grand Isle counties to pool our resources, put our heads together, and find a way to make our services accessible for everyone. We call the project the Champlain Valley Food Network and its goal is to get rolling with deliveries to more households who can’t reach us.

There is a new Network Food Coordinator who will focus exclusively on Addison County, but we need your help to expand these services.

Please make a gift to support this important work now. Thank you!
