Your neighbor, your colleague, your child's teacher could be seeking help...
Our staff has been on the front lines during this pandemic. They are running a homeless shelter at the Holiday Inn, where 150 people can find safety, and we are working diligently to secure permanent housing for them. Our food shelf staff in Addison, Chittenden and Franklin county are bagging, boxing, and delivering food as efficiently as possible. Our Weatherization team, while keeping themselves and others safe, are winterizing homes for folks who would otherwise depend on fuel assistance. Our community ambassadors are running a hotline for immigrants and refugees to inform them of available resources and benefits.
As we move forward with COVID vaccinations and life begins to open up across the spectrum of home, schools, businesses, and more, we look forward to implementing innovative programming at CVOEO. This programming will impact the way we address housing for the homeless, increase people's access to food, and much more.
We're hopeful that you will stay with us as we enter a new phase of "normal," creating a just society where everyone belongs. Please consider joining us as a monthly donor to sustain our work in this next chapter.
